Prayer Support

At Saline Community Church, prayer is not a program, it is a way of life.  Prayer is our means of communicating with God and hearing His responses.  It’s a way of sharing our hopes, dreams, fears, anger, and joy with the One who created us, and getting to know Him better.   We don’t believe that prayers need to be long, flowery, or said just a certain way; we believe they need to be honest and sincere….which means they will look different in each person’s life.

Because prayer is at the very core of SCC and who we are as a church, it is incorporated in every area of our ministry.  Children learn to pray in their Kidz Zone classes; youth learn about and discuss prayer, including the Lord’s Prayer, in their classes; and Life Group members care for each other by praying for one another in small settings.  A few times each year the Sunday morning service is given over to a church-wide time of prayer and praising, and special events like prayer-walks, 24 Hours of Prayer, and prayer seminars are offered at various times.

Everyone is encouraged to come to church early on Sundays to pray for the morning’s service, Pastor Peter, and other items.  An informal prayer gathering is held every Sunday between 9:30 – 10:00 in the room just north of the cafeteria.  Whether you stay for five minutes or 30, we would love to have you join us!
